Hello peeps! Hope you've had a great week so far, and that it hasn't been too stressful?!

When I first saw these culottes, I thought that  they were a skirt at first, but the fact that they were actually shorts, sold me totally, that and the fact that they are tribal print! Tribal/African print is still really in, it can be quite intimidating to wear, but you can always tone it down as I have done with this outfit. Also, you can always dip your toe into tribal prints with accessories like this and this.

I decided to keep  the rest of the outfit plain and dark, in  order to not draw attention assay from the drastic print of the shorts, and I wanted them to stand out as much as possible. I love wearing predominantly dark outfits with a twist of colour, or you could say, taking something colourful and tainted it's beauty with black! Morbid, I know!  I opted for black lipstick, as opposed to the classic pillarbox red, as I thought that it would look a lot more dramatic and unusual, (I'm all for breaking the rules you see!). I added a touch of glamour with the beaded clutch, (which I got in a charity shop for a quid!), just to add texture to the black elements of the outfit, and lashings of gold jewellery.
I'll be really honest, I'm not a heels kind of a girl, and will always try and find a way to wear my flats, but I made an effort and popped on these classic pair of heels. Mind you, you won't see me in heels very often I'm afraid, so enjoy this while it lasts!

Love,
v.
