Hey Peeps!

So it's been a long time since I last posted, I know I know 'bad Victoria!' :/  I'm sorry about this, it's just that I was busy finishing-up with uni and then other personal goings-on got in the way, and blogging just seemed to fall to the bottom of my to-do-list. But I am back on track now, back on form, and I promise that I will be posting a lot more regularly now.

So after that mini heart-to-heart let's move on to this outfit; so this is an outfit which I wore today when I was just out-and-about with my mum. The weather was lovely this day and I thought that I would take advantage of it! One thing I really love about an English summer is the fashion trends. I love the festival-inspired Hippie and Bohemian trends which have invaded our high-street stores of late. I have been frequenting the online stores a lot recently, making wishlists and stalking if they still have my size in stock. If only I was rich!

So onto the outfit; I have been hunting for the perfect white shirt dress for some two years now, and being the Primark-lover that I am, this has somehow limited me in achieving that goal. I recently saw a replica of the shirt dress in Topshop and was adamant that as soon as I got the buck I was going to purchase, I couldn't afford to not have this in my wardrobe anymore! But I took a trip into Primark the other day on a little whim, and guess what—I came across this beauty! It looked as if it was just waiting for me to come along and grab it! I was so over the moon, they had my size and the best part was that it was a third of the cost of what Topshop were selling it for! Ha!
I was really worried about how it would fit on me though, as I am a tall girl and what may look like a dress on a 5'3 girl, ends up looking like a top on us 5'9'ers! But I have to say that I am pretty happy with it. I would've liked it a little bit longer at the back, but hey ho,—beggars can't be choosers right? The other part which I was worried about looking ill-fitted was the 'boobage' area. I always have to buy a size up when I purchase blouses as it's always tight around the bust area, but with this shirt, I can almost get away with it. Depending on how I'm sitting there is the very tiniest slightest of pulls in that area, but if it means that I've got an extra twenty quid in my back pocket—I'm fine with it!

I wanted to spice-up a some-what plain outfit with these boots(I did feel a bit like a stripper at first when wearing these boots, but that quickly sooned turned to felling like a rock chic!). These boots are literally my life right now, after seeing Kylie Jenner rocking them many months ago, I became adamant that I needed to own a pair of over-the-knee boots too! New Look had them online but they were sold out, so I called their lovely customer service team and they managed to find a local store which had them in-stock in my size. And the best part was that they were on sale. Amazing! So I literally ran to my local store the next day to purchase them. I even missed my first two uni lessons and everything! :0
The only qualm I have about these boots is that they tend to fall down constantly (as you can see in some of the photos), as I walk because I have really skinny calves, so I will have to either pin them or stitch them a little, but no matter.

I opted to just stick with black accessories and hippied up the outfit a bit with the bohemian fedors and waistcoat. Very season-appropriate.
So if a store doesn't have your size online, here's a great tip; call them up and see what they can do!

Sorry about this being such a long post, but I had a lot to say and thought it was forgivable seen as I had been away for so long. Hope that you all have a great week and I promise that the next post will be a lot shorter and a lot sooner!

Love,
V.
