This outfit is one of the ones I shot a while back before my laptop broke down on me. :/
This dress is such a beautiful vintage piece, I love the simplicity of it as well as it's authenticity.. It's such a versatile piece as it provides the option of being dressed down to a skirt, I it would look awesome worn under a black polo-neck top. And to think that I only bought for a quid in a vintage sale!—As time goes on, you guys will soon start to realise how much of a bargain hunter I am, (for all things shopping, I'm your go-to girl) ;)
It is one of the favourite pieces of vintage clothing that I own. I don't have many pieces, but they are all rather retro/vintage-themed, I have a lot of vintage replica, but nothing is better than owning the real deal. There is just something about wearing a piece of clothing which has a story tell and may have even come from a different country. I find it rather intriguing to think that clothing can have more of a story than just a factory. I know that wearing something which someone else has worn is not appealing to everyone, but I tell you, if you look in the right places you can very better quality for your buck and sometimes even designer vintage. (Okay okay enough about vintage I hear you guys say!)

I decided to keep the styling of this dress simple and classic—just white and black—as I wanted to keep the stark contrast of the two colours as the focus point. Unfortunately the camera didn't pick up on the contrast of the outfit as well as I would've hoped, but we were shooting rather late into the afternoon. Ah well, I guess it just means that I will have to re-shoot another look with this piece in the near future.
